This project centers on the Whittier neighborhood in Minneapolis. Continually photographing the same neighborhood is intended to give an idea of the temporal nature of street art and how it evolves in a confined space over time. Sporadically there will be photos from other cities when I'm traveling, but by and large the photos are the evolution of a neighborhood and the ways in which some people choose to create an aesthetic to an area or create a free gallery in the streets.
All of these photos, unless otherwise noted, were taken by me. They are street art I just found walking or driving around town. None of these are my own art, the artist's retain any rights to what they left behind that they choose to retain, I do not own the rights to any of this art. It is for everyone, that is the purpose of street art, putting art in the streets for free, fighting back against the bombardment of advertising and bought space that occupies our streets, cities and personal space. Look at these, use them, send me photos, whatever.
